Careers at SYNE Ratings.
We build the independent standard that decides how a bond prices, a supplier is chosen, or a carbon credit is trusted. That only works if the people doing the work are as rigorous as the methodology itself.
Four teams, one shared standard.
Every team ultimately serves the same goal - a rating, a dataset, or a benchmark that holds up to scrutiny.

What it's actually like to work here.
Work from where you're licensed to
Most roles can be based from any of SYNE's six legal entities, with regular in-person time for rating and methodology teams.
Ongoing methodology training
Every new analyst goes through the same rubric training the Rating Committee itself is trained on - not a shortcut version.
Sustainable pace, deliberately
A company rating other organisations on sustainability has to take its own workforce practices seriously - flexible hours and real time off are the norm, not the exception.
Cross-border collaboration by default
A single Supplier Rating can touch analysts in three countries - teams are built to work across time zones as a matter of course, not an exception.
The four things we actually hold people to.
These are not wall art - they are the same principles that show up in every methodology document SYNE publishes.
No score for sale
Analysts hold no financial interest in the entities they rate, and fees are agreed before any engagement begins. This applies as much internally as it does in the methodology.
Show the evidence, not just the score
A confident answer without evidence behind it doesn't hold up here, whether it's a rating criterion or an internal decision.
Publish the method, not just the outcome
Every methodology SYNE builds is published in full. We expect the same instinct internally - show your reasoning, not just your conclusion.
The next version is always coming
Every SYNE methodology has a version history because none of them were finished on day one. We hire people who expect to keep revising their own thinking too.
