Who we are, and who we work with.
SYNE Ratings operates across 71 countries through six group entities. Our own supply chain is primarily professional services - cloud infrastructure, satellite imagery providers, data vendors, and office services - rather than physical goods manufacturing.
The standard we hold ourselves to.
We are committed to ensuring there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our own business or supply chains, consistent with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and equivalent legislation in the jurisdictions in which we operate.
How this commitment is put into practice.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct requires all vendors to prohibit forced labour, child labour and human trafficking, and is incorporated into our standard procurement terms.
How we screen our own vendors.
New suppliers above a materiality threshold undergo a risk screening covering country and sector labour-risk indicators before onboarding, with higher-risk vendors subject to enhanced due diligence.
Eating our own cooking.
We apply the same supply-chain risk framework used in our SYNE Trust and Supplier Ratings products to our own vendor base, so our internal practice is held to the same standard we rate others against.
Keeping our people aware.
Procurement and people-operations staff complete modern slavery awareness training so they can recognise and escalate warning signs in our own operations or vendor relationships.
How we know this is working.
We track the proportion of vendors who have completed our Code of Conduct attestation and review any concerns raised through our reporting channel annually as part of this statement's preparation.
