SYNE Ratings does not sell personal information for money. This page explains your California privacy rights and how to opt out of the limited data sharing described below.
What these terms mean, legally.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, "sell" and "share" have broad legal definitions that can include certain routine advertising and analytics arrangements, even where no money changes hands.
In plain terms.
SYNE Ratings does not sell your personal information for money. We do use limited analytics cookies (described in our Cookie Policy) that could, under CCPA's broad definition, be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can opt out of this below.
What opting out changes.
California residents have the right to direct us not to sell or share their personal information. Opting out does not affect the core functionality of our site or your ability to use our rating products - it only limits the analytics-driven advertising described above.
Two ways to opt out.
You can opt out at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in our footer, or by submitting a request through our Contact Us page marked "CCPA Opt-Out Request."
Why we may ask for more information.
For opt-out requests submitted by contact form rather than the cookie banner, we may need to verify your identity to prevent fraudulent requests, consistent with CCPA requirements.
Submitting a request on someone else's behalf.
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authorization and independently verify your identity.
Beyond opt-out.
California residents also have rights to know, delete, and correct their personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. See our Privacy Policy, Section 9, for the full list.
